The dist/ directory within a project's home directory is the project's slice of the distribution repository.

The distribution repository uses the maven layout which is partitioned by project. Within each project partition are several subdirectories containing project assets.

  • jars/
  • distributions/

Using with Maven

Because of the way Maven works, you need to be able to point it at the root of an entire repository, not a slice.
Through the magic of symlinks, the machine has a synthetic root available simply as /dist/. Use that as your repository deploy directory.

Syncing to ibiblio

The entire respository is (well, will soon be) rsync'd to the repository at Ibiblio
