h1:The Basics
JIRA is what we use for reporting bugs, errors, issues and making wishes for future versions of Drools. If you have an issue you'd like to report to us, you might ask us about it on the appropriate mailing list and if you're not able to resolve it immediately you should file it in JIRA. The issue will appear in the table at the bottom of our project page and in our docs site. You will need to create an account within JIRA if you do not already have one, before you may file issues.
How Issues Get Resolved
Open issues are evaluated, voted for and resolved in order of priority. Usually, people volunteer to resolve open issues, though certain issues can be assigned to specific developers. Also, if an issue has been open and assigned for a long time with no results or feedback, another developer can reassign the issue to themselves.
Tests
If possible, bugs will have tests written to prove that they are working properly, so that we can avoid having the bug resurface in future versions of Drools.
Thank you!
We take bugs and other issues very seriously and will address serious issues as quickly as we can. We greatly appreciate your help in helping us improve our work.
