Editors Corner

This space serves as a reference for programmers using GeoTools. A User Manual is available as an introduction, and a Developers Guide for programmers wishing to improve the Geotools library itself.

Writing Guidelines:

Content:

  • Target audience is a programmer
  • Don't explain GeoSpatial concepts, link to javadocs or wikipedia
  • Developers are encouraged to answer geotools-user questions with a wiki page
  • supported modules and plugins will have user documentation, even just one wiki page with an example

Details:

  • Use parent/child relationships for table of contents
  • Use a number to start your page name for order
  • Provide definitions as child pages of Glosary
  • InkScape preferred for digrams (attach svg and png to page)
