Here are a list of some ideas for improving the unsupported GPX2 module:

  • Remove use of JDOM and repleace with a streaming xml-pull parser library like sjsxp, Sun's StAX implementation.
  • Implement a GPX writer class to complement the GPX reader class.
  • Add support for a GPXFile and GPXMetadata class.
  • Add support for temporal operations on GPX entity objects.
