The Grails team are pleased to announce the immediate availability of Grails 0.3 over at the Download page. This releases packs in a load of new features and bug fixes that together count for over 114 JIRA issues. Some of the highlights of this release are:
- Huge advancements to GORM with many-to-many support, improved inheritance support, new relationship management methods, a more concise syntax and more
- Support for batch DML queries
- Improved support for environments with the ability to specify different data sources, log configurations on a per environment basis
- Support for the JSR-220 defined Hibernate merge method as a dynamic persistence method
- New GSP tags for helping with forms and so on
- The runtime configuration engine has been entirely re-written and Grails now boostraps loads faster
- Support for user defined validators
- Many, many bug fixes and improvements
