- XFire is a Soap package that uses Stax parsers, and works well with Woodstox
- NUX is a general-purpose XML toolkit that allows convenient AND efficient processing of XML content. Many of its features can be based on Stax parsing, and Woodstox is tested to work well as the implementation.
- ActiveSoap and ServiceMix both use Stax parsing and can use Woodstox.
- Axis 2 is a rewrite of the popular Axis 1.x Soap processor; it is built (as most other newer SOAP toolkits) on Stax parsing.

- JUG Java Uuid Generator implements full IETF UUID recommendation (including parts JDK 1.5 implementation does not).
- Stax Reference Implementation is the official reference implementation of the Stax (JSR-173) API.
