XFire 1.1.1 Release Notes

The Codehaus XFire team is proud to announce XFire 1.1.1! This is a bug fix release and all users are strongly encouraged to upgrade.

XFire is an open source Java SOAP framework built on a high performance, streaming XML model. XFire includes support for web service standards, an easy to use API, Spring integration, JBI support, and plugable bindings for POJOs, JAXB, and XMLBeans.

XFire 1.1.1 incorporates several improvements since 1.1:

  • MTOM interoperability fix for Tomcat
  • New MTOM example
  • WSDL->Code generator bug fixes
  • Fix multithreaded Client issue
  • Fix some minor Java 1.4 compatability issues.
  • Spring 2.0 support for services.xml
  • Many other bug fixes

Upgrading to 1.1.1 from 1.1

  • If you are using services.xml to register your services, you MUST upgrade to XBean 2.4 from version 2.3.
  • The Codehaus Maven repository has changed to http://repository.codehaus.org. You will need to update your POMs accordingly.
