<p><a class="confluence-link confluence-userlink" data-username="yury+horbach" href="/display/~yury+horbach" data-linked-resource-id="176226313" data-linked-resource-type="userinfo" username="yury horbach" data-linked-resource-default-alias="Yury Horbach" data-base-url="http://docs.codehaus.org">Yury Horbach</a> created an iPhone client for Activiti that covers similar functionality as the Activiti Explorer web app.</p> <h5><span style="color: rgb(0,51,102);"><strong>The idea</strong></span></h5> <p><span style="color: rgb(0,0,0);">Nowadays mobile devices like the iPhone or Android based smartphones are becoming a very important player in the modern digitial world. Being an aficionado of both BPM and mobile development, I came up with the idea to develop a mobile app providing task management capabilities exactly the way Activiti Explorer does.</span></p> <p><span style="color: rgb(0,0,0);">It will be (iPhone) iOS 4.0 compatible and will run on a variety of devices - like the iPhone 3G, 3GS, iPod Touch and the iPad. It is a rich native client written in Objective C leveraging the REST API provided by Activiti.</span></p> <p><span style="color: rgb(0,0,0);">Developing this application took only a few weeks on weekends and in the evenings, thanks to Activiti's REST API as well as the powerful UI Components available in Apple's Cocoa Touch.</span></p> <p><span style="color: rgb(0,0,0);">That being said, the iPad version with enhanced capabilities leveraging the bigger screen resolution as well as an Android version are in the pipeline for the nearest future as well.
