This datastore provides a way to create features from simple JDBC sources (i.e. non-spatial data types). Typically, this is Latitude/Longitude point data, which is very common in business data, and also features with no geometry (often required to add value to spatial objects in online applications.
Geometryless has been successfully tested against:
- MS SQL
For the 2.4 branch geometryless has been revamped to use the new org.opengis.Feature API
There are also tips and tricks that should be noted:
- in early versions the X,Y columns need to be the last in the result set
- Must download appropriate JDBC drivers and set up testing fixtues
If you are a volunteer we could use help improving the following:
- Split into read-only and transactional extension modules (needs doing for all data stores IMHO)
