Her automated vacation emails have been with the Maven Developer mailing list for some time, and they have started to serve a somewhat ceremonial role for a few members of the Maven community.
Whenever this email appears on the Maven Developer mailing list it is customary to express jealousy at the amount of vacation days Julia has achieved.
Using Excel to check values
Note: Beaware that this counts days, not calendar days (i.e. it includes weekends in holiday counts, which isn't fair but at least its easy)
Bring up the wiki format.
Copy the table.
Paste the table into Excel.
Select Data > Text to Columns
Select Delimted by |
Make sure the data formats for the date fields are CCYY-MM-DD
Replace the totals with =SUM() formulas.
Save as CSV
Open the CSV file and replace all *,s with *|, insert a leading | to each line, insert a trailing | to each line
(Make sure you keep a space as the empty cell values or the wiki will display the table poorly)
Now paste this into the wiki page to replace the old table.
