Geotools is an open source/ free java GIS toolkit for developing standards compliant solutions. Geotools provides an implementation of OpenGIS Consortium (OGC) specifications as they are developed.
Geotools is not a an application but we are pleased to interact and support initiatives and projects to create such products.
If you are new to Geotools2 please read the Developers Guide.
