- Create Java project from existing sources
- Browse to folder where you checked out source
- Select to have IntelliJ IDEA create a source directory or else it won't correctly detect facets
- Click next on the Libraries screen
- Make sure your project folder shows up in the Modules screen and click next
- You should see the Grails and Spring facets in the final screen. Click finish
