In order to configure a project settings, it is necessary to be able to connect as an administrator for this project (See Security).

Delete a project

It is possible to remove a project from the All Projects page.

In order to do so, sign in, go into the project page and click on the Settings entry in the left menu:



Click on delete to remove the project from the All Projects page.

It is to be noted that the project is not removed from the database, but only from the list of projects displayed on the Home page.

Exclude resources from analysis

It is possible to exclude sources or packages from quality analysis. This can be useful for example to exclude generated code.

In order to do so, sign in, go into the project page and click on the Settings entry in the left menu:



To exclude sources, you can use wildcard patterns. Example : */generated/ or */*Bean.java

Customize links

It is possible in the All Projects page to display some project links. The standards links are retrieved from the pom.xml and it is not possible to amend them. All other links are configurable.

In order to do so, sign in, go into the project page and click on the Settings entry in the left menu:



Click on Save links when done with the changes.

Adding a project to the Sonar web site is not an operation that is done through the web interface. It is in fact done automatically when running the first analysis on the project.

Plugins Settings

Several plugins can be configured specifically for a project in order to override for that project the general plugin configuration.

Add an event

In order to add an event, sign in, go to the project area and choose the component (project, module, package) you want to associate the event to :



Click add event



Enter the event name, the event date, the event category and an optional description. Click create to confirm.

Edit an event

In order to edit an event, sign in, go to the project area and choose the component (project, module, package) in which you want to edit an event :



Click on the edit button



Edit the information you want to change and click update to validate.

Remove an event

In order to remove an event, sign in, go to the project area and choose the component (project, module, package) in which you want to delete an event :



Click on the delete button and confirm.

Add manual measures

In order to add a manual measure to a project, sign in and go to the project page. At the bottom left of the page, you have the possibility to add a measure :



You are presented with a form allowing to enter a new manual measure:



Choose the metric to enter the measure against, the date the measure was taken, the measure value and optionally a summary and a link. Click on Submit to create the measure.

Updating a measure

In order to update the value of a measure, simply add the measure again with the new value. This will override the existing measure.

Deleting a measure

In order to delete a manual measure in a project, sign in and go to the project page. At the bottom left of the page, you have the existing measures :



Press the delete button and confirm suppression
