Since Sonar 2.10, it is possible to configure email notifications on events.
Email configuration
In order to be able to send emails, you should first configure settings by logging in, go to configuration -> Email settings
Once the email service is configured each user can subscribe to events notification.
Event subscription
Each logged in user can subscribe to notification by going to My Profile and tick the events he wants to subscribe to
