I have prepared a new release v0.0.3 that includes SimpleSSO filter for Atlassian Seraph and an authenticator for Confluence 2.1+. This will allow any user with a SimpleSSO token to be automatically added to the confluence-users group and logged in. Read the installation guide for details.
I have uploaded a binary release. The code has now been ported to Tomcat 5.5.
