Quaere is an extensible framework that adds a querying syntax reminiscent of SQL to Java applications. Quaere allows developers to filter, enumerate and create projections over a number of collections and other queryable resources using a common, expressive syntax.
Quaere is the Latin imperative for of the word quaerere which means to seek or ask. The word is the origin for the English word query. The word is pronounced 'kwir-E''http://www.merriam-webster.com/cgi-bin/audio.pl?quaere01.wav=quaere. The project hasn't always been known by this name. During development I used the codename JUNQ (pronounced "junk").
