Recent Development and Status

Status on 2.2.x

For the stable 2.2.x branch the Styling package has:

• Been brought into agreement with SLD 1.0 (it was tracking an old version)
• Been brought into method agreement with GeoAPI style interfaces
• QA Check: Had to sort out Factory issues

Status on 2.3.x

No change yet, Cory has permission to "fix" the GeoAPI interfaces and remove a lot of the method duplication currently in the API. At such time he may follow the lead of Expression and offer us an exit stratagy.

Example exit stratagy:

1. use GeoAPI interfaces in GeoTools
2. have our interfaces extend GeoAPI interfaces
3. deprecate our interfaces
